Medical Services Provided at Coast Cardiac Centre

We offer various treatments by certified consultants and medical
practitioners in their respective fields. These include:

ELECTROCARDIOGRAM (ECG)

Simple, painless and quick test that records your heart's electrical activity.

ECHOCARDIOGRAM (ECHO)

Checks the structure of the heart and surrounding blood vessels, analysing how blood flows through them and assessing the pumping chambers of the heart.

EXERCISE STRESS TEST (EST)

This helps to determine how well your heart responds during times when it is working its hardest. It typically involves walking on a treadmill or peddling on a stationary bike while hooked up to an ECG to monitor your heart’s activity.

HOLTER MONITOR

This is a type of portable electrocardiogram (ECG). It records the electrical activity of the heart continuously over 24 hours or longer.

AMBULATORY BLOOD (ABPM)

This measures blood pressure (BP) at regular intervals over 24-48 hours (whilst you are awake and asleep).

SPIROMETRY

This is a simple test used to help diagnose and monitor certain lung conditions by measuring how much air you can breathe out in one forced breath.

PACEMAKER INTERROGATION

The most common cause to get a pacemaker is if the heart beats are too slow (bradycardia), or it pauses, causing fainting spells or other symptoms. In certain cases it can be used to prevent or treat heartbeat that is too fast (tachycardia) or irregular.

CAROTID ARTERIAL DUPLEX SCAN

Carotid duplex scan is a non-invasive ultrasound procedure used to assess blood flow through the carotid arteries in the neck and/or the branches of the carotid artery
