Holter Monitor

It is used to:

• Detect or determine the risk of irregular heart beats (arrhythmias) or palpitations (fast heart beats)
• Evaluate chest pain that cannot be reproduced with exercise testing
• E-G, tiredness, dizziness or fainting episodes
• Evaluate other signs & symptoms that can be heart related
• Assess risk for future heart-related events. in certain conditions such as hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (thickened heart walls), after heart attack leading to weakness on the left side of the heart
• Monitor treatment for arrhythmia
